How we are facing Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Riccardo Scarselli, General Manager of Falorni Gianfranco Srl (Italy) the head company of Falorni Tech, made some statements to Glass International about how the Company is facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
“First of all, the priority for the Company is constantly complying with the Emergency health provisions of the Italian Government and do our duty to limit the spread of the virus. Up to date, both division of the Company ( Falorni Tech and Falorni Art Glass) has not a significative impact on our in-house production ( I mean the construction of furnace’s equipment as glass burners or combustion system or niche furnaces for crystal manufacturing ) as well as on the activities of glass engineering, consultancy and management of the project we are currently working. We do not expect impact on our contractual obligation but given that most of the Countries have imposed temporary travel restrictions or complete ban on entry to Italy, we can’t physically move out of Italy. But this do not stop us to stay connected with the Customers between meetings with virtual meeting spaces, messaging, file sharing, and even video calling. We are closely monitoring the developments and will provide to our employees, customers and suppliers with any updates if our interactions and processes change to accommodate remote interactions with customers and partners. Facing difficulties are a normal part of business, we just have to deal with it and more than ever, staying positive in getting through these difficult times is important. I believe that sooner rather than later, Italy will be able to come back stronger than before and to play a key role in the global industry.”
